Warp & Weft

"Of course I don't expect a dunce like you to be familiar with the Transnational Progressive phenomenon, even though you've been unwittingly coopted by it, any more than I expect you are politically literate enough to understand the postmodern left's philosophical pedigree of Rousseau, Kant, Hegel, Schopenhauer, Nietzche, Heidegger, Marx, Lenin, Marcuse, Foucault, Derrida, et. al., and that this crazy bunch universally despises the enlightenment principals upon which our nation was founded, including reason, individual liberty and its concomitant, personal responsibility, and their economic and political offspring, free market capitalism and democracy. Instead they believe in an all powerful state, the supremacy of the collective and the submission of the individual. They posit that reality is purely subjective, leading to the moral relativism, narcissism, and nihilism that define and plague the modern left. And while Marx may have been pro science and technology, the current postmoderns are more closely aligned philosophically with Rousseau, who despised both as well as civilization itself, and who serves as the source for the common leftist notion of the imagined purity of the pre-civilized man and scourge on the planet that modern civilization is."
